چکیده
A warping-inclusive kinematic coupling method to be used in finite-element analysis of members featuring wide-flange cross sections is proposed this paper. This mixed-dimension macromodels that combine continuum and beam-column elements reduce the computational cost purely models. The method, utilizing either linear or nonlinear constraint equations, implemented validated a commercial software; source code made publicly available. Case studies indicate including warping formulation critical for components may experience coupled local lateral-torsional buckling. Also highlighted potential total degrees freedom by up-to about 60%, memory use up around 80%, while retaining solution fidelity beam, column, panel zone steel moment-resting frames. case show equation not suitable all problems; however, it still yield acceptable results as long level twisting insignificant buckling critical.

Seismic Behavior of Steel Reinforced Concrete Beam-Columns and Frames
The ability to perform accurate nonlinear simulations is a key component in the assessment of the behavior of seismic force resisting systems. A three-dimensional distributed plasticity formulation for composite beam-columns suitable for nonlinear static and dynamic analyses of composite seismic force resisting systems has been developed. New uniaxial constitutive relations are developed for th...
متن کاملa study on thermodynamic models for simulation of 1,3 butadiene purification columns
attempts have been made to study the thermodynamic behavior of 1,3 butadiene purification columns with the aim of retrofitting those columns to more energy efficient separation schemes. 1,3 butadiene is purified in two columns in series through being separated from methyl acetylene and 1,2 butadiene in the first and second column respectively. comparisons have been made among different therm...
Cyclic Evolution of Damage and Beam-column Interaction Strength of Concrete-filled Steel Tube Beam-columns
The assessment of response of composite seismic force resisting systems requires accurate nonlinear formulations for the composite members. In this work, reporting the first phase of a NEES project, a three-dimensional distributed plasticity formulation is presented for both circular and rectangular composite concrete-filled steel tubes (CFTs) that includes new constitutive models for the concr...
متن کاملA Dimension Reduction Technique for Estimation in Linear Mixed Models
This paper proposes a dimension reduction technique for estimation in linear mixed models. Specifically, we show that in a linear mixed model, the maximum likelihood problem can be rewritten as a substantially simpler optimization problem which presents at least two main advantages: the number of variables in the simplified problem is lower; the search domain of the simplified problem is a comp...

In this study, the complex behavior of steel encased reinforced concrete (SRC) composite beam–columns in biaxial bending is predicted by multilayer perceptron neural network. For this purpose, the previously proposed nonlinear analysis model, mixed beam-column formulation, is verified with biaxial bending test results. Then a large set of benchmark frames is provided and P-Mx-My triaxial ...
